popup or hard side
Has anyone tryed both popup & hardside truck campers,I have a popup,like to know how truck handles with hardside,around town,in the wind,

I have a starcraft popup,I lowered it ever day for five weeks,I lower it about 3/4 of the way down and pull canvas in from inside all around than i lower it almost all the way down,go outside and tuck canvas in all the way around back inside lower the rest off the way,outside to lock it down.
Takes me about 5 minutes my be its overkill but canvas is still like new.

Just got back from from a trip west,we live south of Detroit in Canada took a month to do grand tetons, yellowstone,Glacier,and up into Canada banff and jasper.WE did stay at the St.Mary KOA it is very open but still a nice campground,with side trips like road to the sun and many glaciers to see makes it handy

RE: Tow/Haul Setting on Chevy 2500HD
I use tow/haul mode when ever i pull my fifthwheel,with out tow/haul it shifts into overdrive at 80 kmh,with tow/haul it shifts at 93kmh into overdrive.
I have not used tow/haul with my truck camper on it is so lite does not feel any different than when truck is empty
